How do the visualizer controls work?

I discovered touching the album art changes it to a visualizer, and subsequent touches change the visualizer...

But how do you change back to album art?

Is there by any chance a setting to have it pick a random visualizer for each song?

Just keep clicking until you reach the album art again (there are about 23 visuals in Program Files\Centrafuse\Centrafuse Auto\Visuals). When you think this is to much, you can remove the visuals you don't like that  much.

There is one little trick to get back to the album art: Double click the visual to get a full screen visualization, click on the info box in the lower left corner of the screen, and double click to get back to normal size visuals.

Yes there might be a chance for this option (nice idea and quite simple to implement).
Have fun,
Louk.

I upgraded as well, but not really happy with the result. Since the upgrade CF tends to crash (background window, telling CF needs to be restarted). so usually after de-hibernation I end up with a reboot. Any recommendations to clean some directories before doing the upgrade? Market apps installed: DigiRx and Mapfactor.

Hi,

I have done a fresh install on windows 10 to go with this update, only issue I have encountered so far is that the time display is not showing the last digit? I have tried to adjust resolutions etc and it still seems to be happening. Not a major issue, bu I'm so used to looking at CF for the time, its quite annoying that its not there.

Thanks

Rhys

Please check if the Centrafuse settings match the screen resolution ratio, or set it to full screen. When you can't find a better result with this, please enable Event Logging, restart Centrafuse, generate a system report, and mail it to me, so I can check what is going wrong here.
Have fun,
Louk.

The update looks great and works fine for me. Lots of little annoying bugs solved, great job! Much appreciated :)

However, it looks like the app "AppLoader" does not work anymore with latest centrafuse version. 4.4.7 was fine, 4.4.9 not anymore.
After CF update there were only *blank* entries on screen and settings menu. And after fresh reinstall of centrafuse and deleting all caches/profiles/settings I can not even install the app through the MarketPlance anymore (installation failed after download). So not even possible to install via marketplace (at least for me). All other apps continue to work like before so far.

Would be nice if you could take a look at this. The AppLoader Developer is not active anymore but many people using this App (I purchased it) so I hope you could take a look at it and if possible, fix this on centrafuse side so the app can work again like before. Guess one of these changes did break compatibility with ""AppLoader"". Had to rollback now to previous CF version because I don't want to miss my 3 AppLoader Apps (Dashcommand etc). BTW: I am running WIN7 x64.

Thank you guys!

When you mail me a system report of this situation (with event logging enabled of course), I'll take a (quick) look to see what is going on an what we possibly could do about it.

Have fun,
Louk.

There is a new version of GMPC available on the Centrafuse Market. I can't tell what is wrong with the Spotify app without seeing a log file, but I starting to see some correlation here ... :(

Louk.

Hi,

master audio controls (volume up and volume down are not working here. Only sliding works... system wide.

Any fix for this?

Best regards,

Paulo

No, there is no fix fo this, because it is just working OK for most of us. So I think there is a special circumstance here that causes this behavior.

My first guess is multiple audio devices and your primary device is not the Windows default. To check and/or correct this, right click the audio icon in the task bar (left lower corner of the screen), select playback devices, select the first tab, and check if the green check mark is corresponding with your primary audio device.

Another possibility is the Centrafuse setup setting for the audio playback device selection (3rd page , second item of the Audio/Video Setup page. This parameter should be set to Default or explicit to the name of you primary audio device.
Have fun,
Louk.

Hi Marco,

1280 * 1024 (5:4) is not a wide screen resolution ratio (16:9). Do you really have such a square screen?

When not, please adjust your Windows display resolution to the recommended setting and set your Centrafuse resolution to Full screen, the same as the Windows setting, or smaller (but in the same ratio).

When it is, you could do the workaround I described somewhere else on this or the other forum: decrease the font size.
Have fun,
Louk.

CF 4.4.9 Shell Mode - some questions.

Before i try shell mode, what i did in earlier releases with some problems (like having to get the disk in slave mode in another computer and regedit it) let me ask some questions:
- once in shell mode, is there a way to revert it, from CF?
- will xport (gps port splitter) work?
- is there a way, while in shell mode, to reconfigure joycom?
- is there a way, while in shell mode. to load new maps to my igo8 pc and garmin que?

Thanks is advance;

Hello everybody.
If I use the current version Mapfactor with CF4.4.9. I have the following problem. Once a direction instructions issued through MapFactor. Will my audio playback very quiet. As if it no longer comes out from the lowering volume.
I have tried this with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. All have behaved the same.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be?

Best regards
Jens

I think this is caused by incorrect defined hotkeys. Someone else reported those symptoms before; I need to go through my mail archives and see what did solve it.

Hi:
I am trying to use the OBDII plugin and an OBDLine SX module with no success.

The SX works fine with the vendor software outside of Centrafuse Auto. I have have the plugin properly configures with com port, baud rate, etc but it will not connect to the SX. Does the plugin work with the current version of CA?

Thanks,
Tom

Is there a possibility to use the GNS 5860 GPS with TMC and the Car TFT radio receiver at the same time. As long as I use only one of them works everything great. But as soon as I want to do both. I lose that GPS signal and the radio is receiving off. And then it can cause that Centrafuse hangs itself up. I have tested with the 4.4.7 and the 4.4.9 version.

Best regards
Jens

Hi All!

Some results after more testing:

Windows mode (CF is called from WIndows)
RADIO LEAVES MUTED
- source radio - ok,
- next source spotify, tunein, media - START MUTED - on volume up or down, it plays.
--------- RADIO seems to leve muted when source is changed.

- joycom works, gpsport works, xport works.

Centrafuse mode (SHELL MODE)
RADIO LEAVES MUTED
- source radio - ok,
- next source spotify, tunein, media - START MUTED - on volume up or down, it plays.
--------- RADIO seems to leve muted when source is changed.

- joycom works partially (presets for source does not work. volume, next / prevous track ok)
- xport works
gpsport DOES not  work - does not find port 9, but igo8 finds port 8 and garmin que finds port 8, gps on port 6

Any idea?

With best regards,

Paulo

Hi,
i've upgraded from cf 3.5 to cf 4.
Why is the text all of the sudden so big?
and with the visualization fullscreen do i need an extra program to see it?
only thing i see is a little block in the upper left corner. About 10 pixels.
am i missing something?

Your big character (font-) size is probably caused by a wrong resolution setting of your display (in Windows and / or Centrafuse). Please check is those settings match your physical display resolution. For more info search for other posts on this and the other Centrafuse user community forum related to screen resolution settings.

No, you don't need other software to show the visualizations in full screen: Just double click the miniature visual or use the hotkey "Control+Alt+F" to toggle between normal and full screen mode.

Note that single click will move to the next visual and a right or long click will move to the previous one.

Have fun,
Louk.

Hi Luke,

I tackled the problem with the fullscreen visualizations, the problem was my skin.
I use the plugin from stryder, logodashboard, witch comes with the skin clean modified.

when i switch to the standard skin clean, the fullscreen visualizations work.

the other problem still excists, i've set my resolution to 720p but its still massive

can i change the xml files in the skinn?

Of course you could try to make changes, but I'm not sure it will be much of an improvements if you don't know exactly what you are doing; A lot of values depend on each other. First I would be sure that the  basics are right. Like the relation between the vertical and horizontal resolution. This must match the resolution of the physical dimensions of the screen. When you have a wide screen (16:9) choose something like 1280 * 720. Another option is to reduce the icon size (using Windows screen settings) to 100 or at most 125%, this seems to help in some cases (I don't understand why, because this issue should be solved in V4.4.9 and I can't reproduce this on any of my systems.
Have fun,
Louk.
