Unable to install Navigation
Problem reported by Terry - April 19, 2016 at 5:20 PM

My old netbook I used as a CarPC has died on my so I have started using my back up netbook, CF4 downloaded ok and is working fine, but I am unable to activate Navigation on it, even though it worked fine on the other one, and my laptop I use for development.

In market, it says Download App? Which appears to me Navigation is not loaded, but when selected, it begins the download process, but then stops saying its all ready downloaded, and the I get the question "Do you want to install the app?", On selecting yes, it begins and then I get "Installation failed" and it goes no further.

Any ideas to whats going on? Ive done nothing different to my other CarPCs.

Its getting quite frustrating.

Thanks for any help.

Same story, different forum, but as this this is a support request, This might even be the better place...

But then answer is much the same as on the community forum: We need to have some logging!

The reason that you are enable to produce this logging, might very well be the same reason that the installation of Destinatior fails.

Based on the information you already provided at the other forum, I think that Centrafuse has no access to the data folders (normally in C:\ProgramData\Centrafuse\Centrafuse Auto\<UserName>\...)

First of all: Do you run Centrafuse as Administrator? To do so, right click the Centrafuse Icon on your desktop and click Execute as Administrator.

You also might want to add some startup options to the shortcut (the icon on your desktop) by right clicking the icon, select Properties and append a space and one or more of the following options: -logEvents -noWarning -advSettings .

When you are in the Properties dialog, you might as well click Advanced and enable the Execute As Administrator option to make live more comfortable.

Please mention the OS version and type when you reply to this post,
Have fun,
Louk.

I'm very sorry to hear this; this sounds a bit like a virus to me (two machines died with the same symptoms).

But I'm sure you have a backup somewhere and when you recovered from this, I'll be glad to help you to get back on track again!
Have fun,
Louk.
