Accidentally deleted pages
Question asked by Barry - September 29, 2016 at 11:08 PM
Unanswered
I accidentally deleted 2 pages from CF, unfortunately one of them was the one with setup on it. Now i can't go in and add them back. Tried to copy the files from test PC over to the one in the car, but I still only have one page. Is there a way to get them back or do I need to uninstall CF and reinstall and start over?
I was trying to uninstall an app that I did not need and wasn't paying attention and deleted the page instead. Any ideas?

If you ever made a back-up of your settings, check this folder and see if the files are recent enough to use.

To restore your menu's, you need to restore the file ...\System\ButtonActions.XML from your backup or from another system.

The number of pages is stored in ...\System\Config.XML in the parameter <TOTALPAGES>. In your case, I expect this value is set to 1. Normally this parameter is set dynamically, but now it is out of sync, you might need to correct it manually. Check in ButtonActions.XML what the highest instance is of the parameter <MAINxx>. When xx is 36 for example, the value you need for <TOTALPAGES> is 36 / 6 = 6.

Another way is to rename the ...\System\ folder to something like ...\SystemSaved\ and start Centrafuse. Because Centrafuse can't find any config files, it will create new versions and will lead you through the first fun procedure.
Have fun,
Louk.

Louk, You are the best. Unfortunately I'm not very patient, before I got your email I reset windows and started all over. Everything is back working with the exception of one thing. Still in trial version. Copied the license file from my email onto the desktop. I can not get CF to take it, still says I have 30 days left. Do I need to reset license? It says I only get one chance. Or am I doing something wrong. Don't remember have trouble before with the license.

I don't read in your story about you executing the license file from your email: After you copied the attached license file from your mail to your desktop (or anywhere else you like to be kept), you need to execute (double click) the icon/file.

Note: Exit Centrafuse before this, in case it is still running.
Have fun,
Louk.

I did that, but the file is just a page icon. When I double click it ask to open with, I choose centrafuse and centrafuse opens but is still showing 29 days left. Is it supposed to de another icon?
